SUMMARY:World Oral Health Day   17th March\, 2022
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Periodontology\, Index Institute of Dental Sciences celebrated World Oral Health Day on 17th March 2022. The celebrations started with a weeklong Oral Health Awareness campaign from 12th March 2022 to 19th March 2022 in which the department had free dental check-up and treatment camps. The patients were made aware of the different oral diseases and the reasons for it. All the patients underwent comphrensive dental treatment. The patients were also given instructions about different oral hygiene aids through demonstrations. \nOn 16th March 2022\, the department conducted a dental check up camp at Government Middle School at Village Asravath\, Indore District wherein children had their dental checkup and oral hygiene instructions were taught. Oral Hygiene kits were also distributed to these children. \nOn 17th March 2022\, a daylong programme was organized in which close to 120 undergraduates (3rd\, 4th year BDS students\, Interns) and Post-graduate students participated. The competitions included 2 minute on different topics related to oral hygiene\, Quiz competition\, Slogan and Poster Competitions (Theme: Be Proud of Your Mouth). \nA lecture on Importance of Oral Health was delivered by Dr. Magesh Kumar Professor and Head\, Dept. of Periodontology. The lecture was attended by all the undergraduate and post graduate students. \nThe programme concluded with prize distribution and vote of thanks.
