DESCRIPTION:A three-day Neocon Conference organized by Index Medical College Hospital & Research Center\, Malwanchal University\, kicked off with various programs. The main workshop was held at the Index College auditorium under the joint auspices of the Indore Academy of Pediatrics and the National Neonatology Forum. This workshop focused on Advanced NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) as part of the 5th Central Zone and MP State Neocon. \nOver 50 participants from across the country attended the workshop at Index College\, including pediatricians from Hyderabad\, Puducherry\, Bhopal\, Gwalior\, and other cities. These experts shared knowledge about advanced neonatal resuscitation techniques\, including NRP\, and other relevant topics. Advanced neonatal resuscitation is a life-saving technique that can help prevent complications and risks faced by newborns. Through this technique\, neonatal mortality rates can be significantly reduced. \nThe Neocon conference aims to bring together experts and the latest techniques in one place. Dr. Anuradha Jain\, the workshop coordinator and head of the college’s pediatrics department\, explained that new techniques like NRP can be instrumental in reducing neonatal mortality rates. Breathing difficulties experienced by newborns immediately after birth can be addressed using specialized equipment. \nDr. Hemabindu Singh from Hyderabad emphasized that the first minute can be a golden minute for a newborn. The primary goal of their workshop is to provide better training to the next generation of doctors. The government of India and all medical practitioners have a responsibility to minimize neonatal mortality rates.

On this occasion\, Suresh Singh Bhadoria\, Chairman of the Index Group\, and Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria\, Vice Chairman\, congratulated all the teachers of the Index Group Institutes on Teachers’ Day. Dean of Index Medical College\, Dr. GS Patel\, told the students about the importance of Teachers’ Day. He said that the knowledge and education that teachers provide us play an important role in making us successful in life. In the program\, youth gave speeches and drama performances on the importance of education and teachers. He highlighted that the Index Group has been a prominent player in the education sector for 17 years\, setting new benchmarks. The group now offers diverse career opportunities to the younger generation through programs in management\, agriculture\, law\, and more. \nThe primary objective of the orientation program was to fully prepare the new students before they embark on their educational journey\, familiarizing them with the institution’s culture\, curriculum\, and expectations. This initiative was undertaken in accordance with UGC guidelines and aimed at raising awareness among students about the detrimental effects of ragging while fostering a ragging-free campus environment. \nDiverse Activities to Combat Ragging\nThe college organized a variety of programs to educate students about the gravity of ragging. These included:\nSeminars: Expert talks and discussions to delve into the psychological and academic impacts of ragging.\nPoster Competitions: Encouraging students to creatively express their views against ragging.\nStreet Plays: Engaging performances to highlight real-life scenarios of ragging and its consequences.\nSlogan Writing Competitions: Fostering a culture of anti-ragging through catchy slogans. Documentary Screenings: Showcasing the harmful effects of ragging through real-life stories and expert opinions.\nStrict Penalties and Zero Tolerance Dr. V.K. Arora\, Chairman of the Anti-Ragging Committee\, emphasized the severe consequences of ragging\, stating that it not only hampers academic progress but also destroys a student’s life and aspirations. The college has adopted a strict zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and considers it a serious crime. \nAs per UGC guidelines\, students found guilty of ragging can face severe penalties\, including: \nSuspension from the college.\nCancellation of scholarships and other benefits.\nWithholding of examination results.\nExpulsion from the hostel.\nBarring from admission to other institutions.\nDefining Ragging and Seeking Help\nDr. Arora also shed light on the Supreme Court’s definition of ragging\, which includes any act that causes physical or mental harm\, humiliation\, or degradation to a student. He urged students to report any incidents of ragging without fear of repercussions. The college has established a confidential helpline for students to report such cases. \nInstitutional Support and Commitment\nThe entire college administration\, including the Chairman\, Vice Chairman\, Vice-Chancellor\, Registrar\, Dean\, and other senior officials\, expressed their strong support for the anti-ragging campaign. Their collective efforts underscore the college’s commitment to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

DESCRIPTION:Dr. Rahul Tanwani\, a professor in the Department of Surgery at Index Medical College of Malwanchal University Indore\, has made a unique model of urinary bladder catheterization. The technology of this model has been transferred to the renowned Scientific Literature company of Indore. Dr. Tanwani said that this model is much cheaper and more informative than other models of bladder catheterization. The unique feature of this model is that it clearly shows the inner view of the urinary bladder\, which helps trainers teach their students about the process of bladder catheterization\, and also methods of prevention of serious injuries during this process.\nThe technology of this unique teaching model was transferred to Dr. H.S. DESCRIPTION:In a display of exceptional talent\, junior doctors from Index Medical College Hospital and Research Center secured a resounding first place at the recently concluded 15th AMPOGS State Conference held in Jabalpur. Dr. Shilpi Singh Rajput and Dr. Rukhsheen Khan\, both Junior 3 residents\, emerged victorious in the fiercely contested quiz competition centered around the crucial topic of “High Risk during Pregnancy.” The conference served as a valuable platform for fostering knowledge exchange among doctors and students from across the state and nation. PG students from prestigious institutions like MGM Indore\, GMC Bhopal\, NSCB Jabalpur\, and many more participated in the competition. This remarkable achievement by Dr. Shilpi Singh Rajput and Dr. Rukhsheen Khan has brought immense pride to Index Medical College. The Chairman of Index Group\, Suresh Singh Bhadoria\, along with other esteemed officials including Vice-Chairman Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria\, Vice-Chancellor of Malwanchal University Dr. Sanjeev Narang\, Medical College Dean Dr. GS Patel\, Additional Director RC Yadav\, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Swati Prashant\, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the winners and wished them continued success in their future endeavors.
