DESCRIPTION:Medical students from Malwanchal University had the unique opportunity to attend an inspiring session hosted by Amaltas University\, where Padma Shri Dr. Randeep Guleria\, former Director of AIIMS\, New Delhi\, delivered an insightful address. Known for his pivotal role during the COVID-19 pandemic\, Dr. Guleria shared his extensive experience and deep knowledge of modern medical practices with students from across the region\, including those from Index Group of Institutions under Malwanchal University. \nDr. Guleria engaged with the students on the evolution of healthcare in the post-pandemic world\, sharing valuable lessons from the frontline during one of the most challenging periods in global medical history. He emphasized the importance of adaptability\, research-based practice\, and empathy in the profession. The session left a lasting impression on the students\, who were inspired by his dedication\, calm leadership during crises\, and his continued efforts to advance public health in India. \nThe event was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Founder Chairman of Amaltas and Index Group\, Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria\, and Chairman Mr. Mayank Raj Singh Bhadoria. SUMMARY:Sanjeevani Clinic: A New Era of Accessible Healthcare in Niranjanpur  23rd May\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Sanjeevani Clinic was inaugurated at Khalsa Chowk\, Niranjanpur\, Indore\, as a joint initiative by the Government of Madhya Pradesh\, Indore Municipal Corporation\, and Index Medical College Hospital & Research Centre. This clinic stands as a testament to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s mission of “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah\, Sarve Santu Niramayah”. Under the guidance of Index Group Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria and leadership of Vice Chairman Mr. Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria\, this clinic promises free and accessible healthcare to local residents. \nOne of the clinic’s most notable features is the availability of super specialty services at no cost to patients\, right in their neighborhood. With facilities such as Ayushman Bharat\, ABHA Health Cards\, and a dedicated referral system to hospitals for critical cases\, the Sanjeevani Clinic ensures that quality care reaches those in need. The inauguration ceremony was graced by MLA Ramesh Mendola\, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav\, and several other dignitaries. Mayor Bhargav also announced plans to establish similar Sanjeevani Clinics across all 85 wards of Indore\, expanding this model of community healthcare. \nManaged by Dr. Deepti Singh Hada\, the clinic has quickly become an exemplary health center for the region. In addition to primary care\, the clinic offers specialized services in cardiology\, neurology\, nephrology\, and more. Councillor Seema Chaudhary highlighted that residents now have access to critical healthcare services without having to travel long distances. The Sanjeevani Clinic represents a transformative step in public health delivery in Madhya Pradesh and stands as a lifeline for the community\, bringing advanced medical care closer to home.

The event served as a respectful tribute to one of India’s most exemplary women leaders\, whose contributions to governance\, religion\, and public welfare remain timeless. Highlights of the event included a student-led art exhibition portraying significant episodes from Ahilyabai Holkar’s life\, and an academic discussion that explored her role in preserving Sanatan Dharma\, promoting spiritual values\, and undertaking large-scale temple restoration projects across India. \nIn his address\, Dr. Lokeshwar Singh Jodhana\, Registrar of Malwanchal University\, emphasized the relevance of Ahilyabai Holkar’s life to the youth of today. He described her as a visionary leader whose governance was characterized by justice\, compassion\, and devotion. Under her rule\, the Malwa region flourished as a center of culture\, learning\, and spiritual rejuvenation. Dr. Jodhana expressed pride in the university’s location in the historical heartland once nurtured by Lokmata Ahilyabai\, affirming that her ideals continue to inspire academic and civic values at Malwanchal University. \nThe event also featured an awareness session conducted by officers of Police Thana Khudel\, including Station In-Charge Karni Singh Shaktawat\, focusing on women’s safety and the legal support systems available to them. Students were informed about critical emergency helpline services such as 1090\, 181\, and 108\, and the role of One-Stop Crisis Centers in offering 24×7 support to women in distress. DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day\, Malwanchal University \,under the aegis of the Index Group of Institutions\, organized a series of impactful awareness programs aimed at educating the public about the severe health risks associated with tobacco consumption. At the Index Medical College Hospital and Research Centre\, a street play was performed to effectively communicate the harmful effects of tobacco use to the general public. A seminar hosted by the Department of Respiratory Medicine featured leading medical professionals who highlighted the link between tobacco use and critical health conditions such as cancer\, cardiovascular diseases\, pulmonary disorders\, and mental health complications. Renowned de-addiction and psychiatric expert Dr. Ramgoolam Rajdan emphasized the growing number of individuals seeking help to overcome addiction\, particularly from products such as gutka\, tobacco pouches\, and cigarettes. \nIn parallel\, the Index Institute of Dental Sciences spearheaded community outreach activities across Rajwada and surrounding rural areas. Faculty members and students\, led by Dr. Rolly S. Agrawal (Dean-In-Charge)\, Dr. Rajeev Srivastava (Vice Dean)\, Dr. Chirag\, and Dr. Saurabh Khandelwal\, engaged with the public and administered pledges against the use of tobacco products. Dr. Ranjan Mani Tripathi\, Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry\, along with Dr. Poonam Tomar Rana and student volunteers conducted educational sessions emphasizing the importance of a tobacco-free lifestyle. Awareness campaigns\, including informative poster displays and interactive sessions\, were conducted to address both the health and environmental consequences of tobacco use. \nThe observance concluded with a formal recognition of participants and contributors. Dr. Swati Prashant (Medical Superintendent)\, Dr. Sameer Wadia\, Dr. Anjikya Joshi\, Dr. Neha Hissaria\, and Dr. Shidra Khan awarded the winners of the university-wide poster exhibition held as part of the campaign.
