The Index Institute of Management Arts and Sciences (IIMAS) celebrated Diya Deepotsav – The Festival of Light and Faith on 04 November 2025, illuminating the campus with joy, culture, and togetherness. Organized from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the IIMAS Campus under the coordination of Assistant Prof. Manshivi Bhadouriya and Assistant Prof. Damini Singh, the celebration welcomed 60 participants, including 52 students and 8 faculty members. The event began with a vibrant Diya Decoration activity, followed by the auspicious Lighting of the Lamp and High Tea, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and the message of hope, renewal, and gratitude. With a primary aim to promote cultural awareness, unity, and eco-friendly festive practices, the celebration encouraged the IIMAS community to embrace the deeper values of Diwali through shared participation.

The cultural activity stood as a platform for students to express their creativity and reconnect with traditional customs. Activities such as sweets distribution, diya design, and the inauguration of food stalls kept the atmosphere festive and engaging. Students showcased enthusiasm through artistic expressions and collaborative participation, reflecting the rich heritage and spirit of Diwali. By emphasizing a “Green Diwali,” the event encouraged the use of natural decorations, traditional clay diyas, and the avoidance of firecrackers, fostering environmental consciousness. The involvement of both students and faculty strengthened interpersonal bonds and enhanced cultural literacy, creating a space where learning extended beyond classrooms into shared festive experiences.
