Vriksharopan 2025 at IIMAS

The Index Institute of Management Arts and Sciences, Malwanchal University, organized Deekshaarambh & Vriksharopan 2025 on 13th September 2025 as part of the institutional orientation programme for new students. Coordinated by Mr. Abhay Kher and Ms. Diksha Guha Roy, the initiative was designed to familiarize students with the ethos of the university while instilling a sense of responsibility towards society and the environment. The event, conducted at Pipalda village, integrated cultural orientation with a tree plantation drive, symbolizing growth, sustainability, and the beginning of a purposeful academic journey. More than 150 students and faculty members actively participated, making the programme a significant milestone in the academic calendar of IIMAS.

The Vriksharopan initiative served as the core component of the programme, where students engaged in plantation activities alongside faculty members and local villagers. The drive emphasized the ecological importance of afforestation, the need for sustainable practices, and the role of youth in combating climate change. Faculty members guided participants on the broader environmental impact of tree plantation, including improved soil health, biodiversity enrichment, and climate resilience. Interactions with the village community further enriched the experience, offering students valuable insights into rural lifestyles and the principles of coexistence with nature. This engagement not only fostered awareness but also strengthened the university’s vision of combining academic excellence with experiential and value-based learning.

The event outcomes reflected a holistic educational approach. Students gained a deeper appreciation of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and teamwork through hands-on participation. The activity reinforced essential values such as discipline, collaboration, and long-term commitment—qualities integral to both academic and professional success. By blending orientation with an impactful sustainability initiative, IIMAS highlighted its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped to contribute meaningfully to society. Deekshaarambh & Vriksharopan 2025 concluded with a collective sense of accomplishment, leaving a lasting impression on the students and reinforcing the university’s mission of education that extends beyond the classroom into real-world responsibilities.
