80th Independence Day Celebration at IDOPT: Celebrating Freedom, Unity and Patriotism

The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences (IDOPT), Malwanchal University, Indore, celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 with great enthusiasm, pride and patriotic spirit. The university campus was filled with the colours of the national flag as the celebration commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the Tricolour by Hon’ble Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Mayank Welfare Foundation, in the esteemed presence of the TI, Khudel Police Station, university officials, faculty members and students. The occasion commemorated India’s remarkable journey as an independent nation while inspiring the younger generation to understand and uphold the values of freedom, unity and national responsibility. Students and faculty members of IDOPT actively participated in the celebration, demonstrating discipline, enthusiasm and deep respect for the nation. The gathering came together to sing the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere of collective pride and patriotism. The department also embraced the spirit of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign through a vibrant Tricolour-themed display, accompanied by the inspiring message “Dedicated to the Spirit of Vande Mataram.” The participation of students reflected the strong values of teamwork, social responsibility and national consciousness that are integral to holistic education. The celebration provided students with an opportunity to connect their academic journey with their responsibilities as future healthcare professionals and responsible citizens. The Independence Day celebration served as a meaningful reminder of the sacrifices made by India’s freedom fighters and the responsibility of every citizen to protect the values they fought for. The distribution of sweets added warmth and festive joy to the occasion, bringing students and faculty together in a spirit of togetherness. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to promote peace, unity, integrity and responsible citizenship, while contributing sincerely towards the progress and development of the nation. Through such celebrations, IDOPT continues to nurture not only skilled healthcare professionals but also compassionate, disciplined and socially responsible individuals who carry forward the spirit of patriotism and contribute positively to Nation Building.
