On 14th January 2025, the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences at Malwanchal University, Indore, hosted a vibrant Kite Festival at the Stadium Ground, Malwanchal University Campus. Held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the event aimed to foster teamwork, socialization, and stress relief among students and faculty members. The celebration was themed around the spirit of perseverance and resilience, with the quote, “Never fear opposition: A kite rises highest when it goes against the wind,” perfectly capturing the essence of the event.

The festival kicked off with a colorful procession, where students and faculty members proudly displayed kites of various shapes, sizes, and designs. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as participants eagerly anticipated the kite-flying competition, which was the highlight of the day. Both students and faculty demonstrated their kite-flying skills, adding an element of friendly competition and showcasing the spirit of camaraderie. Along with the kite-flying contest, the event also featured traditional cultural performances, including folk dances, music, and songs, further enriching the festive ambiance.

In addition to the activities, traditional Makar Sankranti sweets like tilgud were served, adding to the celebration’s festive charm. The event was a great success in achieving its goal of promoting relaxation and bonding within the university community. Everyone appreciated the opportunity to come together, share joy, and celebrate the cultural significance of Makar Sankranti. The event was organized by the core members of the student council committee, who ensured that the Kite Festival became an unforgettable occasion for all participants.
