Index Department of Physiotherapy & Paramedical Sciences: A Proud Milestone in Global Healthcare Representation

The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences, under Malwanchal University, continues to set new benchmarks in academic and professional excellence. One of its shining alumni, Swapnil Thergavkar, has recently made the institution proud by being selected as the Physiotherapist for the Indian Para Table Tennis Team. Representing India on an international platform, Swapnil served during a prestigious championship held in Taiwan, offering his expert physiotherapy services to globally ranked athletes. His achievement stands as a symbol of the department’s focus on hands-on clinical training and professional development.

To honor this success, a felicitation ceremony was held where university dignitaries including Dr. Sanjeev Narang (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Lokeshwar Singh Jodhana (Registrar), Dr. Rajendra Singh (Deputy Registrar), Dr. Reshma Khurana (Principal), and Dr. Sandeep Patel congratulated Swapnil and acknowledged his contribution to sports physiotherapy at the international level. During the session, Swapnil shared his enriching experiences, highlighting the challenges and learning opportunities that come with working with para-athletes. Dr. Reshma Khurana emphasized that a skilled physiotherapist plays a key role in enhancing athlete performance, injury prevention, and recovery—especially in the para-sports domain.

Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Group of Institutions, expressed immense pride in this accomplishment, stating that it reflects the quality of education, practical training, and global readiness provided by the Index institutions. He acknowledged that this moment is not only a personal achievement for Swapnil but also a testament to the dedicated efforts of the faculty and the institution’s commitment to healthcare excellence. The success of such alumni is a motivation for current and future students, proving that with the right support and training, global success is within reach. The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences continues to lead with innovation, compassion, and a vision to prepare future healthcare professionals who can make an impact across the world.
