Nirvana 2025: Celebrating Devotion, Culture, and Creativity

The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences at Malwanchal University, Indore, proudly hosted Nirvana 2025, a ten-day Ganesh Utsav celebration from 27th August to 6th September 2025 at the Basketball Ground. The event began with a grand Ganesh procession from the college gate, followed by the installation of Lord Ganesha amidst traditional rituals and Aarti performed by Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoriya, Chairman of Index Group of Institutes, and Dr. Reshma Khurana. The celebrations highlighted devotion, wisdom, and unity, fostering a strong sense of community among students while emphasizing eco-friendly practices aligned with sustainable traditions.

The festival was marked by a series of spiritually and culturally enriching events. Students enthusiastically participated in ISKCON Bhajan Kirtan and Radha Krishna Bhajan sessions, connecting with the divine through music, chanting, and dance. The Sunderkand recitation brought an opportunity for spiritual reflection, promoting mental peace and reducing stress. In addition to devotional activities, the department celebrated National Sports Day, engaging students in games like sprinting, tug of war, and badminton, raising awareness about the importance of physical fitness and healthy lifestyles. Students actively showcased their talent and sportsmanship, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere throughout the festivities.

The latter part of the celebrations focused on creativity and cultural expression. Students participated in dance and rangoli competitions, displaying traditional, contemporary, and fusion dance forms, alongside intricate rangoli designs reflecting artistic skill and imagination. Teacher’s Day was also celebrated with heartfelt speeches, performances, and felicitation ceremonies honoring educators’ invaluable contributions. The festival concluded with a Havan ceremony, Mahaprasadi, and the immersion of Lord Ganesha, symbolizing spiritual growth, purification, and togetherness. Nirvana 2025 successfully blended devotion, culture, and creativity, reinforcing the department’s commitment to nurturing holistic development, spiritual well-being, and community engagement among students.
