Transforming Lives: Seminar on Menstrual Hygiene and Personality Development

In a landmark initiative that underscores its commitment to gender equity and student empowerment, the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences at Malwanchal University, Indore, in collaboration with the IQAC Cell, hosted an impactful seminar on menstrual hygiene and personality development for female students. Led by the insightful and dynamic speaker, Miss Nikhat Ahmed, this seminar was not only a platform for educating young women on vital health practices but also an inspiring journey towards building self-confidence, leadership, and holistic well-being. The event was meticulously designed to create a lasting impact, fostering a supportive and empowering environment for female students.

The seminar was driven by four key objectives aimed at shaping empowered, confident, and well-informed individuals. The first objective focused on raising critical awareness about menstrual hygiene, emphasizing the importance of sanitation, health, and self-care during menstruation. In addition to health education, the seminar placed a strong emphasis on personality development, offering students valuable tools to enhance their self-esteem, communication skills, and personal growth. The third goal was to challenge societal biases and stereotypes, promoting the message of gender equity and equal opportunities. The final objective empowered female students with practical knowledge and strategies to take charge of their menstrual health, ensuring they lead a balanced and fulfilling life, both personally and professionally.

The seminar’s success was further amplified by the thoughtful gesture of distributing gift hampers to the participants, ensuring they left the event feeling valued and motivated. The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Reshma Khurana, Principal of the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences, along with distinguished members of the IQAC Cell. Coordinated by Dr. Shivi Trivedi, Associate Professor, the seminar exemplified Malwanchal University’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of empowered women. This event marked a pivotal step in the university’s ongoing mission to equip female students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in every aspect of life.
