A March of Remembrance: IDOPT Honors Pahalgam Victims

On 25th April 2025, the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences at Malwanchal University joined the entire university community in organizing a heartfelt candle march to pay tribute to the innocent tourists who lost their lives in the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The event commenced at 7 PM on campus and witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and hostel residents associated with the department. With candles in hand and placards bearing messages of peace and unity, participants walked in solemn silence, showing their deep respect and solidarity with the victims and their families.

The students of Physiotherapy and various Paramedical Sciences, known for their dedication to healing and care, led with compassion and dignity throughout the event. The march was not only a demonstration of collective grief but also a symbol of professional empathy – a reflection of the values they are being trained to uphold. Emotional tributes were shared, prayers were offered, and banners with messages of hope and national unity were displayed, creating a powerful and moving atmosphere across the campus. It was a moment where academic roles gave way to human connection and shared mourning.

This tribute by the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences stands as a testament to the department’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and moral consciousness. In times of national sorrow, the department stands united with the rest of the country, promoting peace, empathy, and humanity. Events like these underscore the holistic approach to education at Malwanchal University, where students are not only prepared as skilled professionals but also as compassionate individuals who contribute positively to society.
