Awareness Through Knowledge: Seminar on Fundamental Rights and Duties

The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences (IDOPT) organized an insightful seminar on Fundamental Rights and Duties on 6th August 2025 at the First Floor Classroom, IDOPT. The session was graced by Mr. Bhisma Kumar Dehariya as the Guest Speaker, who engaged the students in a meaningful discussion about the constitutional rights and responsibilities of every citizen. The program, held under the initiative of IQAC, was organized with the inspiration and guidance of Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Group of Institutions. Students participated enthusiastically, gaining a deeper understanding of the principles that form the backbone of the Indian Constitution. Dignitaries present at the program included Dr. Reshma Khurana (Principal, IDOPT), Dr. Aseem Yadav (Professor, IDOPT), Dr. Hitesh Vishwakarma (Assistant Professor, IDOPT), Dr. Sandeep Patel (Demonstrator, IDOPT), Ms. Princy Singh (IQAC Coordinator, MU), and Ms. Deepika Chouhan (IQAC Coordinator, MU).

The seminar highlighted the Fundamental Rights guaranteed to every citizen, including the Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right Against Exploitation, Right to Freedom of Religion, Cultural and Educational Rights, and the Right to Constitutional Remedies. Mr. Dehariya also explained the Fundamental Duties outlined in the Constitution, stressing the importance of promoting harmony, safeguarding the environment, and upholding the sovereignty and integrity of India. He encouraged students to not only understand their rights but also recognize their role in fulfilling civic responsibilities. Through interactive sessions, students actively engaged with the speaker, shared perspectives, and clarified doubts, making the seminar an enriching learning experience.

This initiative provided students with valuable insights into the relationship between rights and responsibilities, reinforcing the significance of constitutional awareness in both personal and professional life. By emphasizing social responsibility, empowerment through awareness, and active citizenship, the seminar inspired students to contribute positively to society and become responsible healthcare professionals. With the constant support and vision of Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Group of Institutions, the Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences continues to organize such impactful academic initiatives to foster holistic development, strengthen constitutional values, and prepare students to emerge as responsible citizens dedicated to the welfare of society.
