The Department of Ophthalmology, IMCHRC, in collaboration with the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences, successfully organized the Nayandeep Eye Camp 2025 at Barada Tanda, Kukshi. This initiative, conducted under the guidance of Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria and Vice Chairman Mayank Raj Singh Bhadoria, aimed to enhance community health by providing free eye check-ups, diagnosis, and treatment to the rural population. The camp focused on preventing vision problems and promoting eye health awareness, with students from the Diploma in Optometry (DOR) program actively assisting in every aspect of the event.
Students participated in vision screenings, eye examinations, and patient data collection to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment. They also assisted in dispensing spectacles to individuals requiring corrective lenses, and patients with serious eye conditions were referred to Index Hospital and Research Centre for further management. In addition to clinical support, students engaged with community members to raise awareness about eye hygiene, early detection of vision problems, and the importance of regular eye check-ups, reinforcing preventive healthcare in the community.
The Nayandeep Eye Camp 2025 offered a rich hands-on learning experience for students, combining practical knowledge with community service. Participants including Munnalal Alawa and Pravin Parihar showcased teamwork, empathy, and professionalism throughout the event. Guided by the leadership of Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria and Vice Chairman Mayank Raj Singh Bhadoria, the camp exemplified Malwanchal University’s commitment to producing skilled healthcare professionals dedicated to societal well-being. The successful initiative highlights the university’s mission of integrating education with community outreach, empowering both students and society towards better health awareness.
