IAP Conference 2025 – Indore Chapter: A Celebration of Physiotherapy and Creativity
The Indian Association of Physiotherapy (IAP) Conference was held at ICAI Bhawan, Indore, on 7th September 2025, coinciding with World Physiotherapy Day. The event brought together students, professionals, and dignitaries to celebrate the field of physiotherapy and its role in promoting healthy living. The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting, setting the tone for an inspiring day filled with knowledge sharing and cultural performances. Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, Mayor of Indore, along with Dr. Sanjiv K. Jha, President of IAP, Dr. Reshma Khurana, Principal of IDOPT, and other eminent dignitaries, graced the occasion. The conference this year focused on the theme “Healthy Ageing”, emphasizing physiotherapy’s role in preventing frailty and falls among the elderly through physical activity and targeted interventions.
Students from the Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences (IDOPT) actively participated, showcasing their talents through group dance, skits, singing, and speeches. Their performances not only entertained the audience but also conveyed important messages about physiotherapy and its benefits in improving quality of life. Expert talks on pain management, neurological rehabilitation, injury recovery, and preventive physiotherapy provided valuable insights for both professionals and students. The IDOPT students’ group dance and skit stood out for creativity, coordination, and relevance to the theme, winning the first prize and earning accolades from the audience and panel of judges.
The IAP Conference served as an important platform for promoting physiotherapy awareness, education, and innovation. It highlighted the significance of physiotherapy in maintaining physical health, preventing lifestyle-related diseases, and enhancing overall well-being.
