Sahaja Yoga Meditation Seminar: A Step Towards Holistic Well-Being

The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences (IDOPT), in collaboration with Sahaja Yoga Samiti, Indore, organized an enlightening seminar on Sahaja Yoga Meditation on 29th July 2025 at the 4th Floor, Index Hospital. The session, held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, featured Dr. Sunil Jaiswal was the guest speaker and saw active participation from students of BPT, BMLT, and DMLT programs. The program was held under the inspiration and guidance of Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman, Index Group of Institutions, whose vision emphasizes holistic education and overall well-being for students. Dr. Jaiswal introduced Sahaja Yoga as a path to Self-Realization through the awakening of Kundalini energy, highlighting its holistic approach that integrates physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

During the seminar, students were introduced to various meditation techniques aimed at fostering inner awareness and balance. Practical demonstrations included step-by-step hand positions such as placing the right hand towards the earth, the left hand towards the ether, and subsequent placements on the heart, forehead, and head. These practices enabled students to experience calmness and connect with their inner self. The seminar also emphasized the numerous benefits of Sahaja Yoga, including stress reduction, improved concentration, emotional resilience, and mental clarity. Students actively participated in the exercises, gaining hands-on experience of meditation techniques that promote peace and well-being.

The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion, where students shared their experiences and sought deeper insights into the practice of meditation. Dr. Jaiswal encouraged the young learners to adopt meditation as part of their daily lives to achieve balance and cope with the stresses of modern living. The event proved to be a meaningful experience, offering students practical tools to enhance their self-awareness and overall health. By introducing them to the principles of Sahaja Yoga, the seminar supported IDOPT’s mission of nurturing holistic health education. The guidance of Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria further inspired the participants to embrace meditation as a lifelong practice for wellness, harmony, and self-development.
