Sending Off with Pride: BPT Batch 2020-21 Farewell
The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences (IDOPTS) hosted a warm and memorable farewell ceremony for the outgoing BPT Batch of 2020-21 on 27th April 2025. Organized by the final-year students, the event brought together 27 interns, 25 final-year students, and respected faculty members to celebrate the journey and achievements of the graduating batch. The celebration began on a high note with a lively welcome featuring traditional dhol beats and rose bouquets, setting a festive and emotional tone. Each intern was called on stage and honored with heartfelt gifts including a personalized Dr nameplate and a Polaroid-style keychain, symbolizing their transition into the professional world of physiotherapy. The event was a vibrant mix of fun, emotions, and celebration. It featured energetic solo and group dance performances that captivated the audience. Interactive games such as Paper Dance, Passing the Disposal through a Straw, Passing the Dance Steps, and Picking Items from Friends brought laughter and friendly competition to the gathering. The ceremony also included the presentation of special titles to recognize the unique qualities of the seniors. Davyani Chouhan was crowned Miss Farewell, and Devendra Khakal received the title of Mr Farewell, along with awards for Favourite Senior Male and Favourite Senior Female, adding a special touch to the occasion. As the program drew to a close, a DJ session brought everyone to the dance floor, celebrating memories made over the years and the bonds formed during their time at IDOPTS. The event concluded with a sincere vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to faculty, organizers, and the outgoing batch for their contributions to the department. The farewell was more than just a send-off; it was a celebration of dedication, friendship, and the beginning of a promising future for our newest physiotherapy professionals.
