Hands-on Workshop on Assessment and Evidence-Based Management of Temporomandibular Disorders
The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences, Malwanchal University, Indore, under the leadership of Dr. Reshma Khurana, successfully organized a hands-on workshop on “Assessment and Evidence-Based Management of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD)” on 6th February 2026. The workshop was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Renuka Jain, focusing on enhancing participants’ clinical understanding and practical skills in the diagnosis and evidence-based management of temporomandibular disorders. The event was organized with the encouragement and visionary support Of Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman of Mayank Welfare Foundation, and Mr. Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria, Vice Chairman of Mayank Welfare Foundation, whose continued commitment to academic excellence has strengthened advanced healthcare education and skill development at the university.
The workshop covered important aspects of temporomandibular disorder management, including its epidemiology, etiology, clinical assessment, evidence-based treatment strategies, and mobilisation release techniques for temporomandibular joint rehabilitation. Participants were introduced to systematic diagnostic methods and practical approaches to individualized treatment planning, enabling them to understand the significance of accurate diagnosis and targeted therapeutic interventions. Through detailed demonstrations and expert-led discussions, attendees gained deeper insights into evidence-based clinical decision-making and modern rehabilitation protocols for effective patient outcomes.
Physiotherapists, dentists, and healthcare professionals actively participated in hands-on training sessions, case discussions, and interactive learning activities designed to strengthen practical competence and interdisciplinary collaboration.
