The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences proudly participated in the 25th Operation Theatre Technician Reorientation Course Program, organized at Arihant Hospital and Research Centre on 28th and 29th March 2026. The prestigious academic event was conducted under the guidance of eminent orthopaedic surgeons, healthcare professionals, and technical experts with the objective of strengthening the practical knowledge and professional competency of operation theatre technicians. The program served as a significant learning platform for students, offering them direct exposure to the latest developments and advancements in operation theatre management and surgical assistance practices.
During the two-day reorientation course, students actively participated in a series of interactive sessions and practical demonstrations designed to enhance their technical skills and clinical understanding. The sessions covered essential topics such as sterilization protocols, infection prevention and control, aseptic techniques, operation theatre ethics, biomedical waste management, surgical instruments handling, anaesthesia fundamentals, and basic as well as advanced CPR training. Participants also gained valuable insights into modern orthopaedic surgical procedures and patient care protocols, enabling them to better understand the critical role of precision, discipline, and teamwork in operation theatre settings.
The program provided an excellent opportunity for hands-on learning and real-time clinical exposure, allowing students to bridge the gap between theoretical education and professional healthcare practice. Through expert-led discussions and practical training exercises, students developed greater confidence and technical proficiency required for future clinical responsibilities. The Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences remains committed to providing quality education and industry-oriented training opportunities that empower students with advanced healthcare knowledge, practical expertise, and professional excellence, preparing them to contribute effectively to the evolving demands of modern medical and surgical care.
