“Karen Yog, Rahen Nirog” celebrated on International Yoga Day by Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences Institution, Malwanchal University

– International Yoga Day was celebrated in Malwanchal University and Index Group of Institutions campus organized by Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences Institution with Yoga Asanas demonstrations by more than 150 Physiotherapy and Paramedical students on International Yoga Day.
Mr. Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Chairman of Index Group of Institutions and the Vice-Chancellor of Malwanchal University, Mr. NK Tripathi were the Chief Guests of this program. More than 150 students demonstrated Yogasanas with astounding synchronization in this Yoga practice program.
In this Yoga celebration program, Mr.Suresh Singh Bhadoria highlighted that regular practice of yoga helps to increase concentration power in studies. Mr. NK Tripathi also boosted the morale of all the students and staff present on the occasion. During this mesmerizing program, Tehsildar Ms. Pallavi Puranic, Guest of Honour said, “It is very important to include yoga in ones daily routine to stay healthy in present times. Health should be our prime priority because a healthy mind dwells in a healthy body”.
This year’s theme of International Yoga Day was ‘Yoga for Wellbeing, Yoga for Health’. With the objective of providing an insight of better health, this program was organised. The program was graced by Mr. Mayankraj Singh Bhadoria (Vice-Chairman of Index Group), Dr. G.S. Patel (Dean of Index Medical College), Dr. Satish Karandikar (Dean, Index Institute of Dental Sciences), Dr. Smriti Solomon, Principal (Index Nursing College), Dr.Javed Khan Pathan (Principal, Index Pharmacy College), Shri Manoj Bajpai (Principal, Mount Litera Zee School) Shri R.S. Ranawat (Director), Shri R.C. Yadav (Additional Director), Ms. Chitra Khirwadkar (Deputy Director), Dr. Deepti Singh Hada (Chief Coordinator COVID), Dr. Ajay Singh Thakur and many teaching faculty and students. This program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Reshma Khurana, Principal, Index Department of Physiotherapy and Paramedical Sciences Institution and her team of teaching faculty, staff and students. The program was anchored by Dr.Praneeta Sharma.
Dr. Reshma Khurana said, “Yogasanas were demonstrated and practiced by our students on this day. This programme mainly included Surya Namaskar, Shirshasan, Vajrasana, Vrikshasana, Tadasana, Chakrasana and Anjaney asana”. She further added, “Yoga is very important for all of us. Practising Yoga not only energizes us and makes us fit but also gives us a sense of wellbeing and increases our immunity, especially in the present COVID times. If we are regular with our practice of yoga, it is bound to benefit our physical and mental health immensely”.
