

Seminar on Financial Literacy for Sustainable Growth

The Index Institute of Management, Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Malwanchal University, successfully organized a seminar on Financial Literacy for Sustainable Growth on September 25. The seminar was conducted by SEBI Expert Trainers, Mr. Aman Agarwal and Mr. Manik Tekchandani, who shared their knowledge on financial planning, investment strategies, and fraud prevention. The program began with a warm welcome by Mr. Deepak Nikose and Ms. Diksha Guha Roy, followed by an insightful address from Principal Dr. Ajay Mishra. He emphasized that financial literacy is a vital life skill for students, helping them make informed choices, avoid financial pitfalls, and align personal growth with national progress.
The seminar was coordinated by Dr. Sudha Srivastava, Head of IQAC, who ensured effective interaction and smooth execution of the program. During the session, Mr. Agarwal highlighted the importance of cultivating saving habits and maintaining financial discipline from an early stage of life, while Mr. Tekchandani focused on safeguarding against financial frauds in the digital era. They explained how simple practices such as budgeting, responsible investing, and vigilance in financial decisions contribute not only to personal security but also to the broader economic and social framework of the nation. Through real-life examples, the trainers connected financial awareness with sustainable growth, stressing that financial literacy extends beyond individual benefit to national development.
Students actively participated in the session, raising questions and sharing personal perspectives that reflected their eagerness to understand financial concepts. The interactive discussions cleared misconceptions, encouraged long-term financial planning, and gave students the confidence to apply practical strategies in their lives. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Deepika Chaouhan, who acknowledged the contributions of the trainers, dignitaries, and SEBI for supporting such initiatives. The seminar was widely appreciated as a timely and impactful effort, preparing students to become not only skilled professionals but also financially responsible citizens, ready to contribute to the sustainable growth of the nation.
