Malwanchal University Signs MoU with State Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur

Malwanchal University, Indore has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Forest Research Institute (SFRI), Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, marking an important milestone in the field of academic and research collaboration. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen cooperation in forestry, environmental science, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. The MoU was formally signed in the presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Malwanchal University, Dr. Sanjeev Narang, and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Director, SFRI, IFS Mr. Pradeep Vasudeva. The collaboration reflects the shared vision of both institutions towards innovation, environmental protection, and capacity building through education and research.

Under this MoU, both institutions will work together on joint research projects, faculty exchange programs, student internships, training initiatives, workshops, seminars, and field-based studies. Emphasis will be laid on the exchange of scientific knowledge, research infrastructure, and technical expertise to address contemporary environmental challenges. Speaking on the occasion, IFS Mr. Pradeep Vasudeva highlighted that this partnership would foster applied research and practical exposure for students while contributing to sustainable forest management and ecological conservation. The collaboration is expected to create a strong platform for interdisciplinary research and evidence-based solutions in environmental and forestry sciences.

Registrar of Malwanchal University, Dr. Lokeshwar Singh Jodhana, stated that this academic alliance would provide students with hands-on experience, research-oriented learning, and industry-relevant skills, thereby enhancing their academic and professional competencies. He emphasized that collaboration between academic institutions and research organizations is essential for promoting sustainable development and responsible environmental stewardship. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by several distinguished officials and academicians, including IFS Mr. Sandeep Fellows, Deputy Director and Head of Department, SFRI; Dr. Shailendra Singh Yadav, Biotechnology Division, SFRI; Director IRC, Malwanchal University, Dr. Tapesh Kumar Dubey; Dr. Sudha Shrivastava; Principal, Management College, Dr. Ajay Mishra; Dr. Ashwini Yadav; Mr. Deepak Nikose; Ms. Diksha Guha, and other esteemed officers and faculty members. This collaboration is expected to open new avenues for research, innovation, and sustainable environmental practices, reinforcing Malwanchal University’s commitment to excellence in higher education and societal development.
