
Doctors and Faculty of Index Group Honoured for Excellence in Medical Education and Healthcare
Recognising the dedication and contribution of healthcare professionals and educators towards strengthening medical education and healthcare services, doctors and faculty members associated with Malwanchal University and the Index Group of Institutions were honoured at the prestigious Governance & Development Awards 2026. Organised by Dainik Bhaskar at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore, the event celebrated individuals and institutions making meaningful contributions to governance, development and society. Madhya Pradesh Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Actress Shubhangi Atre and Chairman, Mayank Welfare Foundation, Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, were also present. The recognition is a testament to the consistent efforts of Malwanchal University and the Index Group in promoting excellence in medical education, healthcare and professional development.
The awardees included Dr. Rajendra Singh, Deputy Registrar, Malwanchal University; Dr. Shreya Nighoskar from Index Medical College; and Dr. Neha Hisaria from Index Dental College. They were recognised for their valuable contribution and dedicated service in the fields of medical education and healthcare. The honour reflects the commitment of the University and its constituent institutions towards creating an environment that promotes academic excellence, professional competence, research and quality patient care. On the occasion, Chairman Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria congratulated the doctors and faculty members and appreciated their commitment to education and healthcare. He emphasised that dedicated teachers and healthcare professionals play a vital role in shaping competent professionals and contributing to the well-being and progress of society.
Speaking at the ceremony, Shri Tulsiram Silawat lauded the contribution of doctors and healthcare workers, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, when medical professionals stood at the forefront of the fight against the crisis despite significant personal risks. He noted that the sacrifices and selfless service of healthcare workers must always be remembered and respected. Actress Shubhangi Atre shared her cherished experiences associated with Indore, adding a personal touch to the event. Dainik Bhaskar Editor Amit Mandloi highlighted the responsibility of journalism in seeking facts, examining issues in depth and presenting the truth before society. Dainik Bhaskar Satellite Editor Ashish Chauhan, Unit Head Sandeep Sharma and several other distinguished guests were present.
